As a new patient, I was NOT impressed with the Eyetopia Optometry service and experience. Starting with the DR. LILY H. KIM. During my office visit, the doctor was very impersonal. I felt as if she wanted to get the appointment over with. On 11/15, I ordered contacts and called on 11/19 for an update. I was on hold for 12 minutes. Then a guy answered, and he asked me what I needed. I told him I needed an update on my contacts. He then placed me on hold for another 3-4 minutes. Then a girl came on asking me how she could help me AGAIN. I was told that only one box came in and the other box was on back order, and that she would keep me posted when the other box arrived. Well, I never received a call, so I called on 11/30 and was told my box was still on back order, and the ETA from the manufacturer was 2-3 weeks! Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommend this office.

This place unlike several other places honor appointment time. Staffs are really helpful. Dr.Kim was great. She was patient with my 8 year old who asked her plenty of questions throughout eye exam. The entire process was quick and we were out within 30-40 minutes after ordering eyeglasses. Glasses were ready within 2 weeks. They also print the prescription for you so you can buy glasses from elsewhere. Great experience overall.

The doctors are great but they have long wait times to be seen for appointment and we’ve been waiting for a month for our eyeglasses and they haven’t provided it. There is no urgency to fix their mistakes and I’m left to be on hold or following up multiple times without any resolution. Not recommended if you don’t have much time to spare. Go somewhere else for your glasses.

Staff is very professional, patient and compassionate. Dr Kim carefully exam my eye and schedule for follow up when another doctor simply ignored last year. Also, I never imagine putting on my first pair of contact lens can be so difficult. I used up all my tryouts in two hours without a luck but finally master the skill in an extra training session. Many thanks to the black hair lady in the front.

It's great they open on Sat - they could make an appointment for me the same day when I needed urgent care during the weekend. The team does multiple procedures: checks and photos; and the doctor I sew took into account overall health.

I was travelling this past weekend when the piece on my left ear that connected the lens to my ear was severely bent and almost breaking off. As I am going to be on the road for several days (and driving) I was going to need to get a replacement arm ASAP. I called my eyeglass shop back home and they looked up Silhouette eye ware for a store in Northern Virginia that might carry them. I was directed to Eyetopia and asked if they may have replacement parts and/or a spare that they could put on for me. John was great as he looked upstairs and found a extra part and quickly put it on my glasses and I was out of there all fixed up lickety split for just $25! Great service and lifesaver for someone on the road who would have been in real trouble if they had been unable to assist me. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were going to eyetopia for 6-7 years until last year. Dr.Lily Kim is great. But the staff is very unprofessional for the past 2-3 years. They cancelled my appointments twice last year. Also, the staff don't help with customizing the size of rimless glasses (which they would do earlier). I was told that only manager does the customizations and was told to schedule an appointment with the manager. Very long wait for appointments as well as to receive the glasses. When there are good optometries with walk-ins available here in the Bay Area, I would definitely not go back to Eyetopia. Waste of time and energy!

I want to take this time to express my joy in my visit at Eyetopia. It all started with my first call with Desiree. She was very knowledgeable as well as very patient with me. She set my appointment, as well as sent me a reminder and called me as well. When i arrived i met the office manager Celeste. She was amazing. Great knowledge of the business, comforting with my exam. Made me feel right at home. Very professional. I met with Dr. Kwok, again, kind, smart, talented, knowledgeable with great suggestions for my care. I will share this information with my co-workers. Thank you for my great experience.
